Why should a Bible-believing Christian mother support Ron Paul ? This is a question that I am asked

quite frequently. I was asked this question so many times that I actually posted an answer on our ministries website just so I would not have to keep repeating myself.

First, and foremost I am Christian who loves the Lord, a mother, and a freedom-loving American. Over the last four years I have seen the erosion of our civil liberties, and our Constitution. They tell us that this is because 911.

In the Bible we are told we are not of this world, but we do have to reside here until the return of Jesus Christ. In this respect we as Christians are supposed to be the light here on earth. Why then, would , or should, we support un-Godly leaders who do awful things in our name( which intern would be associated with Christ). Our country was founded by leaders who lived under Tyranny and oppression. They understood that the gift of freedom and independence was endowed by the Creator, not man. They knew that torture, and other things that our country now practices does not represent a free society, or Godly people. We have to realize, as our founding fathers did, that spreading our form of democracy through torture and oppression is not solving the worlds problems. Which leads me back to why I support Ron Paul. He is the only candidate that wants to end the war and bring the troops home now. As a Christian, war is not the only reason, although it is a major concern. I have done my research and am not just taking anyone’s word for it. I have looked at Ron Paul’s record, how he has voted as a congressman. I am quite pleased with the things I see, and read.

Typically Conservative Christians are against Abortion, divorce, high taxes, and big government. They are usually for freedom, the 2nd amendment, and Legal immigration. As we see leaders in the “Christian” community supporting candidates who are against everything that true “Christian Conservativism” is supposed stand for I have become quite disturbed.

In conclusion I would ask my fellow brothers and sisters to do your homework and learn about Ron Paul the man who has delivered over 4000 babies and never aborted one. The one who has been the husband of one wife. The man that to me seems to be a humble servant of Christ, and the American people. Let’s try as Christians to get this right in 2008, unlike the last election, supporting someone who does not stand for what we truly believe in. CHRIST=FREEDOM!!!!
